What is the composition of the paints?

The composition of my products varies according to color, consistency and applicability. To resolve some questions, consider the following components:guar gum, corn flour, starch, rice flour, water, olive oil, cottonseed oil, propolis, sodium chloride, vinegar, vitamin C, in addition to extracts from plant species - turmeric, mate, annatto, cocoa, hibiscus, beets and lima beans.

From what age is it recommended to use Mancha paints?

Mancha is for all ages!I've been working for 05 years in children's events, educational workshops, day care centers, public and private schools. I have reached over 5,000 children ages 1 to 13, and I have a history of working with toddlers who have developmental disorders, including the autism spectrum.All my usability validations have a social stamp: I have been recommended by mothers, educators, relevant people in thematic areas (maternity, early childhood education, sustainability and art therapy), in addition to coordinators of educational institutions.

What is the validity of paints?

The shelf life of the paint with the closed pot is 3 to 6 months under adequate storage conditions, according to our laboratory studies.
After opening, it is good to be careful when using me as if I were food, to avoid contamination. For artistic use, I can be manipulated and used within 12 months.
Depending on the color, variations in appearance (color, texture and consistency) may occur. Within the indicated period, there are no customer returns with complaints about the quality of the paints.

Do the paints stain the fabric?

Vegetable pigments are not made to stick to fabric. However, it is important that you do not leave them in contact with light colored clothes for a long time, for example. Some pigments, like turmeric, have a strong pigmenting power and can be a little difficult to get off. But nothing a good wash won't do.

Is the paint edible?

The paints are made from food ingredients. However, they are not prepared as food, as such, I do not indicate intake. Although they are natural, they are not food.
Many mothers buy my products as a healthy and safe alternative, as other paints on the market have a wide variety of toxic components, resins and heavy metals.

Are there any contraindications to allergic components?

In all our history, only 1 child presented skin redness after applying one of our pigments. The parent was advised, together with the responsible pediatrician, to identify if there was any reactive predisposition. If you deem it necessary, check the composition of my paints and consult with your doctor.I am in the process of obtaining the Inmetro seal, which will define the recommended age. ;)

What kind of paper should I use?

This product is ideal for application on paper weighing over 80g. I recommend the use of papers by Schöpf Papier, my long-time partner and responsible for the handcrafted and recycled production of the best copies I have ever seen. Each role more beautiful than the last!

How should I store paints?

The paints must be handled carefully in order to avoid contamination. After opening, it is difficult to determine an expiration date due to humidity, sunlight and handling. That's why it's good to follow the instructions on the package.Always keep in a cool, ventilated place. Avoid exposure to heat. To increase the validity of the paints, it is possible to keep them in the refrigerator.

How should I handle the paints?

Do not handle the material directly with your fingers to reduce contamination from use - this will ensure a longer shelf life. Instead, separate the paint with a spatula or brush if you want to use it more than once.
To increase the paint yield, or if you consider the consistency to be too thick, dilute it with water. To make the most of the texture of each paint mix and shake the pot.

Which surfaces can the paint be used to paint on?

My paints work very well on canvas, light-toned woods, and cotton fabric - bearing in mind that the paints are designed to wash off fabric.In case of body painting, wash only with running water and soap. The paints are easily removable.For application on wood, it is good to test different solvents and a subsequent application of a resin, which guarantees long-term stability of the result.A good example is mixing turmeric paint with alcohol and applying it repeatedly to woods such as Pinus, Teak and Tauari. Another option is to apply cocoa paint with a silk screen.

How long does it take for you to process and ship the products?

I ship paints weekly. All products are processed and delivered to the Post Office within 05 working days after the purchase is made.

Are the paints tested on animals?

My paints are not tested on animals. All laboratory tests are performed in vitro. I am totally "Pet friendly". =)

The consistency of the paints came out different. Is that normal?

That's right! :) Each pot has a different aroma and texture, with unique characteristics inherent to each pigment. I offer sensory resources to stimulate and develop children during play.

What games can I play with the paints?

Handling 100% natural paints with your fingers is an excellent alternative to enhance the sensory experience. Always follow the painting with small children. In addition to being a great form of family play, it is important to ensure the correct use of the product.Painting activities for children up to 3 years old are great due to the sensory characteristics of the paints. The little ones love the diversity of aromas and textures, in addition to being in a stage of life in which it is very important to develop their psychomotor skills.Children up to 06 years old will love making illustrations. Encourage them to draw nature or let them express themselves freely. Creative works are valuable for developing socio-emotional skills.Up to 13 years old, it is great to take advantage of using the paints to talk about the origin of materials. Talking a little about each plant, seed, fruit, biomes and regions from which they came from is also a way to educate them about sustainability. There is no better way to learn than having fun and hands-on activitites!Note: The paint is for free experimentation and has varied textures - use creatively and explore the possibilities!

Does the paint work for a stamps?

The paints do not work well on stamping due to consistency, as they do not provide adequate adhesion for transfer on the matrix that is used to stamp the paper.An alternative is to use cocoa, turmeric and annatto paints on silkscreen. My cardboard packaging, for example, is printed with cocoa paint. The readability of printed information is perfect.

What materials are used in the paint packaging containers?

My pot is made of PET produced by the Brazilian national industry. The lid is made of high-density PP. Both come from a supplier that my team analyzed as the best available option due to the characteristics of the paint and the profile of the target audience (children).

What is the adhesion of paints to different surfaces?

Paints have better adhesion to rough or slightly rough surfaces. They come off quite easily on any smooth surface such as tile, glass, ceramic or plastic.

What is the stability of the colors after application to paper?

Paints react very quickly to different types of surfaces, mainly due to the pigment's natural oxidation process. The reaction to the chemical components of the paper also influences the final color.The colors of cocoa, turmeric and annatto remain with minimal variations and almost imperceptible to the eye for a long time. The matte green paint darkens and gains a saturation after drying.Note: Hibiscus, blue tea and beetroot paints are alive! You will be able to follow a beautiful and very fast transition while interacting with them.

Do you follow any solid waste management practice in production?

I have an ongoing process for the purchase of reverse logistics credits for the entire packaging. In addition, I offset the carbon emissions associated with the logistics of delivering all e-commerce orders.

Does Mancha have an Inmetro certification and seal?

I already have all the indications but I still don't have the seal. I hope to receive it by July 2022. I use vegetable raw materials of controlled origin, and my production process follows a strict standard of sterilization and control in partnership with the Microbial Biotechnology Laboratory (Labim), of the Chemistry Institute / UFRJ, of the Control Laboratory Microbiological (LACMAC), in addition to the Faculty of Pharmacy / UFRJ.

What are the payment terms for Resale?

Depending on the corporate name and resale goals, we can think of alternatives. This also influences product flow and replenishment plans. I work with corporate partners, for example, who order around 300 jars in one order. For these cases, we split playments in one down payment and another 15 days after delivery.
